Description

Pig ears are made of cartilage, which means they are a softer chew that is ideal for most dogs. Whether you have a puppy, a senior dog, or a dog with dental issues, pig ears are durable, yet easy to chew.

The high protein content of pig ears, around 69%, will help your dog build strong muscles and have a healthy coat and skin. They are also an excellent source of essential amino acids.

Sometimes pig ears become infected with salmonella bacteria, leading to a gastrointestinal infection. Our pig ears are dried at low temperatures, without smoke or artificial substances. This heat treatment eliminates bacteria while retaining their aromas and flavors.

To ensure your dog can chew safely, be sure to supervise him while he chews his pig's ear. Some dogs may chew responsibly, while others may try to swallow the entire ear or tear off large chunks to swallow.

As previously stated, if your dog manages to swallow the whole ear or a large piece, he is at risk of developing an intestinal obstruction. To avoid this, consider holding the ear while your dog chews it until he understands that he is not supposed to swallow it in one piece.
